Stop Motion animated Short Film by Ilena Finocchi

This is my first stop motion animated short film. Completed during a pandemic and some scenes influenced by the pandemic. “Creatures in My House” took one artist 3 years to complete. The exquisitely handcrafted world in this stop motion animated short, follows a house full of peculiar monsters waking up amuck in this askew home. This quirky and tactile household is full of frenetic energy set off by the morning alarm. Discover what the ruckus in the kitchen is really about in this colorful nod to film noir and German expressionism. It’s horrifyingly delightful.

The World of Stop Motion Animation

One of the great things about stop motion animation as an artist, is getting to build a 3 dimensional world for the characters to interact with. It's also one of the lengthening parts of the process.
